Efrain Prieto is something of a phenomena and visionary. An international top real estate producer, he’s joined the ranks of the prestigious Council of Residential Specialists and Prudential’s International President’s Circle for his sale of luxury homes and commercial-investment properties through Santa Fe, NM USA. With San Miguel Exclusives, Efrain has widened his scope of achievement to create the city’s preeminent real estate agency.
Efrain enjoys tremendous respect in the real estate industry. Why? Certainly his expertise in negotiation, strong business skills and knowledge of the industry, his penchant for hard work, his natural artistic sensibility and passion for beauty, and his honesty -- all these play big parts; but perhaps most important is his concern for the needs of his clients and the lengths he goes to deliver superior service.
For many years Efrain has lived in both San Miguel de Allende and Santa Fe, NM, knowing both towns well and often traveling between the two. “I love bringing people and art together,” he says. “And both towns are great centers of the arts.”
Developing his natural talent, he earned a degree in fine arts, then moved to Florence, also living for a time in Palo Alto, New York, and Israel before settling for a time in London. In Mexico again he became Art/Marketing Director for a major Mexican newspaper, learning to work and produce under pressure.
Having worked early on for his family’s famous empire of San Miguel stores “Casa De Los Milagros,” Efrain knows the home furnishings business like the back of his hand. This led to his opening in 1990 of what became one of the most popular stores in Santa Fe, Eclectica. He furnished it and other stores in Scottsdale with items he designed out of his San Miguel product studio, seeing to their manufacture, and in the process becoming an entrepreneur. He’s enjoyed working closely with architects, designers, attorneys, bankers, home owners and developers from all over the world, among them the Walt Disney Corporation.
Working for years with many award-winning builders of custom and luxury homes, Efrain finds it exciting to now build custom homes himself, and a privilege to work with the top experts in their fields. “I see homes as living art,” he says. “My home is your home.” This means that, before he introduces a client to a home, he meticulously arranges the furnishings and designs the rooms with his own discerning eye for beauty, for he wants people to experience the fine possibility of what it would be like to live there.

DANIEL FLORES
A San Miguel Exclusives Agent
Daniel hails from a long line of successful San Miguel retailers and entrepreneurs. Son of artist/ businessman Julio Flores, the “Picasso of Mexico,” Daniel was literally raised inside the family’s “Casa De Los Milagros.” This famous empire of stores was the first, through their factory of fine craftsmen, to revive Spanish Colonial style.
“Growing up in my family's home furnishings business,” Daniel says, “almost my first words were, ‘If you need any help, please let me know.’ I was five and spoke it in English! Through the years I loved being in the stores, loved working with customers to bring taste and beauty into their homes.” It’s in his family’s stores that he learned his superb people skills and what customer service really means.
Daniel now directs San Miguel Exclusives’ Luxury Rental Division, Casitas Wespy. He’s also formed his own group of management personnel, Grupo Daniel, supervising San Miguel Exclusives Concierge Service, which will help you navigate the city, hold receptions to promote the marketing of your properties, and arrange to meet you at airports in Leon and Queretaro.
